| When the Miami Strike Force was
established in 1989, it had few objectives in mind:
To help kids develop their talent
through proper training in organized competition.
To create
an incentive for these kids to maintain scholastic standards
which will further enhance their chances of securing athletic
scholarships from institutions which might otherwise not
represent viable alternatives to them.
To provide the children of Dade County with a facility to
develop their soccer skills on a year-round basis.
To have an adequate facility where these children can be
properly trained in the sport.
To promote soccer as a sport that can help children develop
their physical, mental, and social ability, as they learn
how to be part of a team, growing and sharing together.
Ultimately, our purpose is to assist these children in their
development as athletes and as persons, enhancing their
chances of securing athletic and scholastic scholarships,
and providing many of them opportunities which they would
not otherwise have.
Philosophy
The
Miami Strike Force program is designed to develop each individual
player to his/her fullest potential while at the same time
inspiring responsibility and commitment
to a team. We believe strongly in developing a club that
has technically sound, possession-oriented players who are
very comfortable with the ball and who love the game.
